SAKURA

Sakura  is the second largest city in the country with the largest metro population. Largest city of the Vejito/Sakura Mega World Metropolis. Sakura was established by Canvannians as this city is known of the "Last of Final Freedom" of Princess Sakura Relsmore A. Marrtisworth.. Today this city has a metroplex decade district reaching its 20th million residental of the two area city of Vejito/Sakura and added with Monterries west of Sakura. Sakura has become the second most largest city in the world built in desert. Sakura has grown rapidly over the fifty years as it was put in 7th place of growth. It was once referred to as 133 communities in search of a city because there was no defining city center. That has changed. It is still the world headquarters of the freeway with no less than thirty separately named arteries which are the lifeblood of western Sakura (more automobiles are registered in Sakura's Metro than in all of more than 55 countries). Palm trees, beaches, movie stars and the birthplace of Disney, Sakura is the most unique gathering of people you will ever find anywhere. A vibrant city fresh with the spirit of optimism and loads of sunshine.  View Image

The Convention Center, designed by architect Charles Luckman, opened in 1971 and expanded in 1993 and 1997. It was built to have from the Studio Active Cinema Programs when having the 1944 Olympic held in Sakura. It was originally built as a rectangle building, between Pico Boulevard and 11th Street (now Chick Hearn Ct.) on Figueroa Street. The northeast portion of the Center was demolished in 1997 to make way for the Staples Center. All fare collection is based on a proof of payment system. At least two fare machines are located outside each station. Fare inspectors and deputy sheriffs police the system and cite individuals without fares. The standard Metro base fare applies for all trips.

On Feb. 28, 2008, Metro announced the approval to install ticket barriers. It is estimated that Metro loses 5.5 million USD a year because of the honor system method. The barriers will also improve security at all the stations, provide better ridership statistics and create the ability to have zone fares. Barriers will be installed at all subway stations, select LRT stations and all future stations. The installation will take 12 to 18 months.

    Hours of operation

All Metro Rail lines run regularly between 5 a.m. and midnight, seven days a week. Limited service on particular segments is provided after midnight and before 5 a.m. There is no rail service between 2 and 3:30 a.m. Exact times vary from route to route; see individual route articles for more information.
